Hughesnet Installer at the front door ready to help customer out

Can I get Hughesnet in my area?

Hughesnet satellite internet is available across the contiguous US—if you can see the southern sky from your home, you can sign up for Hughesnet’s satellite plans. Once you’ve ordered your Hughesnet internet plan, a customer service representative will help you set up an installation appointment within the next few days.

  1. A professional technician will arrive at your home on the day of your appointment. They’ll install a satellite dish and mounting rod on an elevated surface outside your home (usually a roof or raised wall).

  2. The technician will run a cable from the antenna outside to the modem within your home, typically drilling a small hole through a wall in your house.

  3. Once the outdoor equipment is connected to your indoor system, the technician will seal the hole and weatherproof any outdoor equipment.

After these steps are complete, your internet service will be up and running, and you can enjoy your new, reliable internet connection!

If your household has multiple devices and users, don’t sweat it—100 Mbps is more than enough to keep up with multiple screens.

How does Hughesnet Internet 100 Mbps compare to other providers?

Hughesnet Internet 100 Mbps is one of the fastest satellite internet plans available. Powered by JUPITER™ 3, the world's largest and most advanced commercial communications satellite, Hughesnet provides reliable and fast internet to customers across rural America. With unlimited data1, Whole Home Wi-Fi, and reduced latency, Hughesnet internet plans provide great internet to places where cable and fiber don’t reach.

Is Hughesnet Internet 100 Mbps a good speed?

How is Hughesnet internet set up?

To sign up for a Hughesnet internet plan, call 1-844-715-0783 and order the best plan for your online needs. Your customer service representative will help you set up a time for a technician to come to your home to install the necessary equipment. View the installation process for more information on what you can expect on the day of your installation.

Can I use my own equipment with Hughesnet Internet 100 Mbps?

Your Hughesnet technician will provide all necessary equipment on the day of installation, including the Wi-Fi modem, satellite dish, and any other additional equipment needed. Hughesnet also provides additional services to enhance your internet connection, such as Norton 360 Deluxe, Express Repair, Hughesnet Voice, and more.

The more connected devices you have, the quicker you will consume your Priority Data. Hughesnet is not recommended as a full-time video streaming replacement for TV service or console-based gaming activities because they quickly consume your Priority Data. Multiplayer games requiring rapid response are only supported with Hughesnet Fusion plans. VPNs, where you sign into a VPN application to access your work network directly, will significantly reduce service speeds. All plans are subject to the Hughesnet Subscriber Agreement.

**Each Hughesnet service plan is designed to deliver the download/upload speeds assigned to that specific plan, however, speeds and uninterrupted use are not guaranteed and may vary based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to the number of concurrent network users. Your Hughesnet experience will vary based on your proximity to the Wi-Fi source.

Broadband Labels

As of April 10th, 2024, the FCC requires all internet service providers to provide broadband labels for home internet service plans. The broadband labels are intended to help consumers find the best plan for their needs. We value transparency and are happy to provide details regarding our service plans' data, speeds, and fees. Please note that service plan availability is geographically dependent. Not all service plans are available to all consumers.
